Abstract. The paper makes a review about the opportunity, forming conditions and obtaining methods of bulk amorphous alloys and their properties.
6 and 7 we see a small loading difference between registered results for case II and those registered for case III, but, there is a significant crack growth decrease for case IV of loading. This fact shows us that introducing two spread overloads in loading spectre at a certain number of cycles gives a higher crack growth retardation than in case both overloading points are applied consecutive in a loading spectre. The small difference between case II of loading and case III can indicate the fact that the crack growth delay period given by an overload is not much different from crack growth delay period given by two overloads applied consecutively and plastic deformed zone on crack tip induced by an overload point doesn't increase too much when consequently applying the second overload point.
Structural integrity assessment is successfully applied in many cases, but there are still possibilities for developing the procedure to achieve more efficiency and reduce costs in design, manufacture and operation of structures. It is of special importance in component service requiring the decision if a damaged component should be used, and if so, under what conditions.
